Weds 1/13 BLUE

Intro to Internship.  Go through all paperwork, contact info, forms, calendar, attendance issues. See website and Quick Topic.
Discuss placements. Set up placement meetings.

Placements to date:
Devon Albers: Butler--pending. Talk to me about your schedule. They have the calendar.
Jared Bauer:  Officer Phillips said do Explorers, do internship every other day and take a class on opposite days. We need your new liability form BEFORE you can continue!
Sam Boerboom:  returning; started at Memorial 1/12.
Carly Bostic:  Meeting/Interview on Friday at CCHS with Kristy at 2pm
Kaysi Brown: returning Meeting/Interview on Thursday at 2:00.  Betsy will meet you in the HS office.  See me for a flyer.  Give me objectives for pet therapy TODAY!!
Note on Fri 1/15 from Kristy:   Just heard from Volunteers of America – they have a youth counseling program.  Asked them if any opportunities for Tue, Wed, or Fri afternoons for Kaysi.  I did get her pet therapy objectives, too & will be sending those on.  I had contacted them (VOA) before Christmas break and finally heard back today.
Michaela Bunde: still pending;  depends on computer accessibility.  Has to be in this building since the Taylor's office is in their garage.
Tyler Christensen: PT at the VA; meeting today 1/13 at 2:30 with Kristy for paperwork. From Kristy Weds. afternoon:
Tyler’s meeting at the VA went well…Tyler did great & everyone seemed to like him a lot.  They gave us a tour of the PT area, too, so that was kind of neat.  I think Tyler’s going to have a late afternoon there…they were getting ready to show him a video when I left around 3:15.  Also—FYI—I sent all of the paperwork back with him…he needs to have his parents sign it & also needs to fill out the top of the training agreement, etc. Finally – he is supposed to go back on Friday at 2pm for his last portion of orientation/TB testing, etc.  FYI –maybe you want to put that on the online master list to remind him? We met Cindy (PT supervisor)---gave her the calendar – she marked it as the 26th being his first day.  FYI.

Pat Cypher:  placed with SF Fire Dept.  Bring the waiver Mrs. Schumacher gave you with you on the first day or you can't start. Waiting for rotation calendar.
Message today:
Sent Jon Groen the calendar—he is working on the fire station rotations right now.  Last time we did the paperwork on the first day, but if it’s easier to coordinate, perhaps we could schedule that meeting for the week prior?

Friday 1/15 at  2:45 Fire Dept (Pat doesn’t need to be there) Paperwork meeting.

Ryan Drietz:  Continue at Butler. Have updated liability form.
Brady Eggebraaten:  Returning to Avera surgery.  Need up update liability. Waiting for calendar from Pat for restart day.
Kelsey Eneboe: MediCap Pharmacy.  Need to set up day to meet and do paperwork.  Next week?
Brittany Even:  Hy-Vee/Avera Dieticians.  Waiting on their calendar for start date.Weds. night email:

We are happy to host Brittany on the blue days when she is available. I’m sorry I missed your call this afternoon (I was with a customer), but I will be in the store Friday from 10-6 pm. I will give you a call Friday morning, if that is ok, to work out any new details. Thanks. Talk to  you soon!

1/15 Brittany – going just on blue days is fine.  Most of her time will be with Jenn Colgan at the Louise store and the one on east 10th, but she will also spend some time at the store on Marion Road.  They’re still working on re-doing Brittany’s schedule, so I can’t tell you quite yet when her first day will be.  We’re aiming for the 26th, but it might possibly be on Mon Feb 1st.  In the meantime, I’m getting her paperwork signed now so that part’s ready to go.  Dress code:  business casual since she’ll be around clients.  They will occasionally have “project days” for her, when she’ll be creating lists of foods that are appropriate for certain kinds of diets.  On those days, she can wear jeans as long as they aren’t ripped or low-cut.  No offensive writing on shirts, etc.  Saturday events will be business-casual, too.  No sweats.

Christina Haensel. Sanford. Start day is Jan. 25th.
Robin Hoffman. Continue at Lukens; working on large animal placements for Wednesdays. Also waiting to hear back from Sx Nation. Update liability form.
Megan Kelly. Continue with PT/OT at Hartford Elementary. Update Liability Form!
Kelly Kluck. Julie Wooters would like to meet Friday sometime between 10:45 and 1:15.  I would go along.  Tell me what works and we will email her back today. We need to bring paperwork and calendar and visit about the Lennox days.  She knows about it.
Start Thursday 1/21.  Remind us to get liability signed.
Rachel Liesinger: pending. Kristy is calling back today to the place you interviewed.
Fri 1/15:
Judy (Elegant Xpressions) wasn’t there when I called & the mgr at Interlude has been out sick.
